Storage: Fresh truffles need to be stored in the fridge at a temperature around 5° Celcius to preserve optimal quality. However, they can be kept outside of the refrigerator for a few (7-10) days without any problem – in case there should be a small delay in the delivery or when you are not home to empty the mailbox immediately.
Please note: Some suppliers offer microdosing products that contain of 4, 8 or even more grams in one (vacuum) package. Creating a possible health risk for their customers, as harmful mold can develop in 6 to 8 days after opening a package. As we only use vacuum-packed portions of 1 gram, we are able to ensure you a completely safe product. Should you want to store and use your truffles longer than the expiration date, cut them into small pieces and let them dry on a paper towel.
